Let’s start with how to say my name. No, it’s not A-Kane – like a trendy twist on Kane with an “A” in front. It’s A-Kar-Nay… well, that’s the Aussie way. If you’re in Japan, it’s more like A-Ka-Ne (you know, with one of those little pronunciation dots or something).
But honestly, most people just call me Kanye. It started as a joke – my very drunk (but very dear) mates (not to name names, but Benny, Sixx and Harry) belting out “Gold Digger” at the local pub – and now it’s just stuck. I’ve embraced it. Why not, right?
So, why this blog?
I already spend my days creating content, and since this is my first-ever journey to Madagascar – a place most people only dream about – I thought I’d share the ride. Getting there from the land down under isn’t as simple as it seems, and I thought it’s the kind of adventure worth telling stories about.
I’m heading there to get content and volunteering my time to support an amazing not-for-profit started by my wonderful friend Debra, Wildlife Madagascar. I just needed an excuse to finally get there… and it’s finally happening!
So if you’re into wildlife, conservation, photography, and random facts (and thoughts), stick around.
