A super massive thank you to the entire Wildlife Madagascar Team to allow me to visit La Mananara. To Jacques, the La Mananara Conservation Program Manager to looking after me during my stay at camp. I loved every day, and he made sure I was looked after, fed enough (most important haha) and organised for the research students to take me out every day into the forest or village to get photos to help tell the story of what we’re doing here.
I feel so fortunate to be able to have spent 8 days in the field, seeing SO MANY animals in the wild that are under threat. And I couldn’t have done it without the amazing field guides and students.

Rojo, Koloina, Gaetan, Tanjona, Hani, Domohina, Joany, Henri and Princi – THANK YOU!!!!!

It’s really re-ignited my love for wildlife photography, and realised I have a looooong way to go and exciting to improve on my skillzzz. So hoping that when I return to Madagascar, I can get better photos and video as well.
We’ll be launching volunteer programs soon as well so if there’s any of you out there who have been inspired by my excellent ramblings (aka blog), and want to make the trip, get in contact with me! (Ok I have no information yet, but I will still appreciate the email) Trust me, you won’t regret it.

And of course, last but not least, my dear friend Debra. You are a true inspiration with your love, passion and determination to make an impact in conserving the natural environment. I thank you for trusting me enough to let me spend time in La Mananara and even share a tent with you! You are a wonderful role model and mentor that I am so lucky to call my friend. You motivate me to keep going and to continue doing the things that mean something and makes me happy – even if sometimes it’s hard! To see how much Wildlife Madagascar has grown in just 2 years, is phenomenal and I’m so proud to be a part of it. I will up my photography and videography skills and be back next year!
PS – I also have to give a lil shoutout to my wonderful partner, Jesse, who supports me in all my crazy dreams and stays home to look after the pets while I’m away. Thank you for always being there for me.
